Happiness for Beginners by Carole Matthews


Well this book was addictive!!!!!!

I could just leave there but I related to this book so much as my day job I work with children that have Autism and delayed learning so this book hit me on this level so much.

We meet Molly Baker who prefers animals to humans well 80% humans . She never fitted the norm, she got through school and trained to be a teacher and found herself a job and one day she just walked out she couldn't teach children who didn't want to learn.

Molly grow up with her Aunt on the farm and when she died Molly took it over and become  her farm  school for children that can't deal with the daily routine of school and a different way of learning and life skills.
Then one day Selby drives up to the farm school, he a well know actor not that Molly would know as she shuts herself of from the world. Selby has heard great things about the school and her work and this is his last hope for his son Lucas who seems angry and troubled Molly is at her full quoter of children but she cant say no and take Lucas around the farm to see what he thinks.

Molly is anti social  person but does wonders with the children , over time it comes clear that father and son have got lost since the death of Lucas mother died. Molly takes a shine to Lucas and takes him under her wing.

Molly also has to take on her biggest fear losing the farm her life and safe place from the world for her and the children that come to the school.

Will Molly bring father and son together and how will she save the farm ?

Poppy's Recipe for Life by Heidi Swain



I fell in love with this book from the first page and I'm gutted its taken me this long to write up the review to post.

In thus book we meet Poppy who lives above where she works for Harry in his Green Grocers  shop and who has become like family since she moved away from home. Poppy left home when she was very young and she has been looking after herself for many years and her hidden talent is writing food recipes to go with food sold at the shop to customer who purchase from the shop.
 Poppy dream is about to come true, when she rents a cottage off Kate in Nightingale Square with access to the community  gardens growing her won food and making more beautiful recipes.
Her first day moving in  is great all the neighbours are helpful and friendly  and the closeness within the square which Poppy has been looking for and needs but she has a neighbour who isn't the above at all and Mr Grumpy (Jacob) shouts from his bedroom window asking when they will be done but over time  he seems to come out more  and be part who the community and stop hiding from them and Jacob and Poppy become close friends from working in the gardens and living next door to each other. 
 The out of the blue her a strange mother calls to tell her that she is going to Spain but leaving Ryan her bother behind and also he hasn't been attending college lately and she now has to deal with it. Ryan and Poppy are not close since she moved out and left him behind with their Mother but she decides to move him in with her now as he has the cottage.  Ryan drag his heal and makes her feel like he doesn't want to be there but Poppy is having nothing of it and pulls him into her life if he dies it or not and the community take to Ryan like they have taken to Poppy.

Working on the gardening competition pulls all the community of Nightingale Square together  and we get to catch up with all the lovely characters from this series.

But will Ryan past catch up with him and stop him from having a fresh start?

Will Jacob stop living in the past and more in the future?

Does Poppy finally live her dream life?

This book is part of a fabulous series but can be read alone as you will fall in love with all the Characters and it will leave you wanting more so go grab a copy you wont be disappointed.

One Summer In Paris By Sarah Parks



In this fabulous read from Sarah Morgan we meet two great characters. in the first chapter we meet Grace, happy married to David who she has a daughter with. Sophie is moving to University  after her summer trip. Grace was a born organizer so when Valentines came she booked the table as always  but this was a Valentines she did expect. David wanted a divorce and  was leaving her for another woman she was in shock after telling him that she booked and planned  a trip for them to go to Paris.

We meet Audrey in the next chapter who was siting her GCSE but her Mother wasn't always the best  and she cant wait to move away, so she picked Paris to start her life over. Audrey found school hard as reading didn't come easy to her but fate as dealt her cards as an advert in Paris working for a book shop that comes with accommodation  how hard would it be.

Fate has more for Audrey on her first day in Paris  she bumps into Grace who has been picked pocketed and got hurt in the process, while out looking for her Grandmothers book shop. Grace  cant thank Audrey enough and offers her dinner at her hotel. Audrey declines but then turns up she feels the whole world is against her but Grace sees something she cant they become friends.

The money from there book shop doesn't make ends meet so Audrey takes one a second job working  in a hair salon but then she loses her first job and a place to live so Grace steps in helps Audrey with her new life.

Grace is also going through some life changes and Audrey decides that she needs a new look fr her life in Paris and thats while Audrey real talents shine when she cuts Graces hair and getting her to buy new clothes , Grace was starting to put the last few weeks behind her  and outs caution to the wind and contacts her first love on facebook and he happens to be in Paris too. Grace starts to feel happy but with her ex husband Daniel arriving in Paris to save they marriage, where does Grace's future lie.

Audrey is a hard cookie  and keeps her walls very high regarding her life will she melt and someone in to love her, but you will have to buy the book to find that part out!





The Mister by E L James


I grabbed this book as I'm am a fifty shades fan. When I started reading this book I was under no spell that it would  up to the same standard of fifty but the story pulled me in from the first few pages.

We meet Maximum a wealthy man trying too hide firm his responsibilities of becoming a Lord and taking over from his recent dead brother.
Maximum has many tastes and seems to have a different woman every night , oh and his grief sex with his sister in law.

One day a woman catches his eye in his apartment cleaning, Alessia  is young lady smuggled into the country escaping her past.
The only job she could get was cleaning to make ends meet but she lives for her time when she cleans at Maximum's apartment, he is never there and after she does her cleaning  she takes pleasure being in her safe place  and playing his piano.
From the moment  they meet  there has been chemistry, Maximum can't take his eyes off her  and when he is around her he feels settled. Alessia is so scared to let him in as her past has an impact on her life. over the days she started to ket her guard down and Maximum deflowers her and shows her inner side which she liked but they are from different worlds.

Alessia past catches up with her  and she is forced to tell him everything and her home becomes unsafe so Maximum moves her  safety and their connection becomes stronger and over time fell in love with each other .
Will Alessia past stay in the past or will their works keep them apart.

The Summer of chasing Dreams by Holly Martin




In this fabulous summer read , we meet Eva who is quite contented  with her quite life in London. Working from home and running her win business, most everyday Eva doesn't even get out of her PJ's and likes life like this sailing along life unnoticed.
Till one day Eva world got turned upside down when her mum died, and now realises the she is at a stand rill in her life but all is about to change when she cleans out her mums loft. Eva comes across a wish list her mum made but never got to fulfil her dreams, so with the savings her mum left her Eva decides to go on a world wide trip living out the dreams.
The next day she is in the the travel agents booking her trip of a lifetime, when a strapping great man walks in holding a baby late for walk and saying he will lose his job for looking after his sisters baby. Eva steps in and tajes the baby saying its her sisters as his boss walks into the office demanding why Thor !!!!!!  was late. Yes the sexy strapping danish man is Thor.
Thor was not happy that he had to sit on an office and watch a complete stranger deal with his sisters screaming baby and when he meet to collect the child he offered his help in anything she needed, which Eva declined his offer.
Eva put the encounter  behind her as she would never see the man again, well thats what she thought until the day she started her world trip standing in the airport. She asked for a female tour guide but Their explained that she broke her leg and  other female guide wouldn't be able to join her straight away. so it was crunch time she either walked away and did the trip on her own or travel with a man that need to get over himself.
She has know choice but to go with Thor and praying he might lighten up on the trip and hoping even more his female replacement would co me soon.

After a while of being in each others company, they both see each other in different eyes and Eva opens up about her mum's wish list and Thor  see that she is just not another wealthy girl wanting it see the world. When they arrive at Paris their boundaries are pushed the total booking was booked for double as the girls would have shared the bed, but everywhere is booked out so they have to make the  best with what their have.
One off the First wishes was signing at the top of the Eiffel Tower but Eva did not have her mothers musical talents, Thor saves the day and gets everyone to join in with her singing.

Their move in to the Netherlands (Holland) and Eva gets to try her first space cake without even knowing Thor is a sweetie and looks after her and this borings them closer but ~Thor has very high walls but goes out of his way to book a friends windmill to show Eva another side of the Netherlands and they spend a night under the stars.
The next out stop ion the journey was Denmark and that they would have time aport as he would drag her to see his parents but Eva told him that she would to meet them as they where so close and happens that her mother did a show in the same village  and found her first love there.
as the trip goes on they grow closer but its just sex no falling in love but Eva has already fallen in love. Their is letting his past define his future happiness and Eva finds it hard to know how he truly feels.
Does Eva full fill her mothers wishes and make her own wishes and desires , go grab a copy and find out.

Warning this book was highly addictive and you will find it hard to put it down!!

The Christmas Invitation by Trisha Ashley



Well another delightful read from the lovely Trisha Ashley.

In this Christmas story we meet Meg who is not feeling her best just getting out of hospital and finds a commission  for a printing as soon as she gets home but how can she refuse a stay in a country house over Christmas.
On her arrival they make her feel like home and is one of them, just when she starts to relax a blast from the past in the form of Lex who thought she would never have to see again !!!!
Meg comes with no Christians spirit untie she meets Henry and Clare who are totally opposite and are full on Christmas people, Meg has no option but to be pulled into this huge family Christmas.
There are some mysteries in the story involving Megs family that bring the book together and you get to understand why Meg lost her Christmas spirit.

A Wedding in December by Sarah Morgan



In this Christmas Fairy tale we meet Rosie who is Marry Dan after a short time  of dating and planning to marry at Christmas in Austin.

Rosie Family are shocked at how quick she is getting married but are making they way to her for the wedding . Rosie mum Masise is hiding a secret her and the girls father have been separated for each other since the summer and haven't told the girls so they are playing happy married couple for Rosies wedding . There seems to some unfinished business and while playing the act realised that all they had to talk and find that they are not lost but can they be saved.

Then we meet Kirsty, Rosie older sister who has watched over her since her very first Asthma attack at an early age and Rosie has been her protector ever since it's the reason she became a doctor. Kirsty also has believe that Rosie is too quick to fall in love but Kirsty not even felt love as she is a 24/7 doctor that never takes breaks for falling in love or letting anyone get close is not an option for her and why she see that Rosie needs protecting and goes out for her way to stop the wedding as she feels its best for her little sister.  Kirsty fly's to Austin with a heavy heart to as she is hiding a secret and needs time to think what best for her future , does she stop the wedding  or find  the one thing that could out her heart back together and start living her life.
